Trivia: Outside of a Cup run in 1996, the Panthers have been plagued with mediocrity. In 1996, the fans established a tradition of a "Rat Trick," after a player killed a rat in a locker room. The fans would throw rubber rats onto the ice after a player scored a goal, a practice that really caught on during the playoffs.
