Trivia: As an Original 6 franchise, the Rangers have had a surprisingly small amount of success. They held the record for longest Stanley Cup drought, but broke it in 1994 after assembling "Edmonton East," after acquiring many of the old Oilers dynasty players. One arena tradition is to chant, "Potvin sucks!" which was originally in response to a hard Denis Potvin check in 1979, but has since taken on a life of its own.
